Why choose Direct Primary Care?
Modern Primary Care, Wherever You Are
Traditionally, over 40% of every dollar spent on healthcare goes toward insurance billing and administrative overhead. This burden forces providers to work faster and see more patients each day just to stay afloat. As a patient, you feel the impact through long waits for an appointment, rushed visits, and rising costs.
At River Ridge Family Health, we remove the costly overhead of the traditional insurance-based clinic, we reinvest those resources back into you. We provide immediate access, longer appointments, and significantly lower costs—all from the comfort of your home or office.
The Power of Virtual Care
We believe high-quality healthcare should fit your life, not the other way around. Our telehealth model offers:
Unmatched Convenience: No more taking time off work or sitting in waiting rooms. Connect with your provider via secure video, phone, or text wherever you have a connection.
A Personal Connection: Unlike "on-demand" apps where you see a random provider, you deal directly with your provider every time. We know your history, your goals, and your health journey.
Comprehensive Monitoring: We use digital tools to manage everything from routine check-ups to chronic conditions like hypertension or diabetes, ensuring you stay on track between "visits."
Why Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
We believe traditional insurance should be there for the big things—serious illnesses and expensive, unanticipated events. In fact, insurance often interferes with routine primary care by creating barriers to your provider and inflating the price of simple services.
While we do not bill insurance companies, we recommend enhancing your healthcare by combining our services with a "wrap-around" insurance or medical cost-sharing plan. If you are on a high deductible plan, direct primary care is an excellent option to ensure you have the care you deserve at an affordable cost.
More Care, Less Cost
The combination of River Ridge Family Health and a high-deductible health plan (or cost-sharing plan) allows you to spend less while receiving more:
Affordability: Maintain coverage for major medical emergencies while ensuring affordable, unlimited virtual access to your primary care.
Comprehensive Care: We handle over 90% of your medical needs virtually.
Seamless Coordination: We refer to the same specialists you know, prescribe the same medications you need, and order the same radiological procedures at facilities convenient to you.
If you have a health savings account (HSA) or flex spending account (FSA) those funds can be used for your membership, further maximizing your healthcare benefit.
